As a filmmaker, I try to create programming that will make a difference. My films, which have won 6 Emmys, a duPont Columbia and awards from around the world, attempt to lend a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves, be it endangered birds, chimpanzees in captivity or elephants who have been caught in the crossfire. When I'm not combing the Amazon for missing frogs or scouring the underbelly of Bangkok in search of displaced elephants, you can find me on Cape Cod.

Meet Eliot! He lives at Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge in Pittsboro, NC. He's the most curious, gregarious and lovable goat on the planet (but don't tell the other goats we said that!)... Architect Paul Drake can't get a word in when Eliot's around. 💚 www.FOREVERHOME.love

Autumn is a time for contemplation-certainly it is this year. Between the pandemic and politics, 2020 has been a tough one. For a little autumn RX, I've edited a short video as a bit of inspiration from our fellow earthlings. At a time when our country-indeed our entire world-is divided and angry, the act of forgiveness is more important than ever. Feel free to share this video if you feel insp...

Having recently binged The Planet of the Apes movies from the 60s & 70s - this is how it all began 😂😂
You can never trust a chimp
Looks like he's 💩💩💩💩
I'd be surprised if the chimps were not studying us more than we them. Very sad.
Diese wundervollen Wesen haben mehr Seele wie wir Menschen😢😢😂😂❤❤❤
you have to have something wrong in your head if you are the type of guy to say "i wanna study and get a job where i work with animals in cages and to some sick research in them"...... and people think i am a weirdo cause i do hobby shooting (not hunting!) the real weirdo's are people who do animal experiments and like their job.
Cosa mas desagradable
Chimps are gross
These animals should not be in captivity! What’s wrong with people. Poor poor animal.
Im not crying..youre crying...😢😮😢
I worked at shopping area when he was their..he always looked so sad. Glad he got to Atlanta.
I'm sobbing tears of heartbreak for what these animals and every other animal that is SENSELESSLY used in laboratories around the world, and tears of happiness that they are free! God bless this woman for her work. ❤
I'm not crying. You're crying.
There like can that boat go any faster. Bring it in family. You can see they remember all she did for them. Can you imagine the feeling of setting them free and seeing them years later just living life. Growing old outside in fresh air. What i love about this place is they knew they could never be truly wild so they made an island for them. Away from harm. Doll definitely remembered the lab. You can see it in her eyes. She was happy to see her. But you can see she remembered the pain.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
These animals should not be used for testing ..
Omg I love this made me cry happy tears ❤
Actors in suits.
Bawling…😢
Human Species are the worst creatures ever walked the earth
I swear every time i see this video i start crying 😢
There are hundreds of thousands of human beings that deserve to be in these labs. Not Chimpanzees.
Go vegan
Who came here after reading the book
What a Privilege to have cared and Loved these Beautiful Creatures and to have them remember you. God is Great ❤
Are you people buying into this BS? If you do gimme a call i have a beautiful bridge for sale in Brooklyn 😂😂dude its an elephant. They arent all that smart, theres not much goin on upstairs with them what does this nut job expect to find
What a lonely, horrific existence for this majestic primate. How evil and greedy would one be to torture this creature for 20yr in a cement prison? May karma greet you for this evil
Read her book! Fascinating. So many baby elephants died because various milks weren't enough to sustain them so she found out that coconut milk nurtured them & they survived. Bless this caring woman!
The way she reached out to her and hugged her as soon as she realised 😭 Incredible. These animals are so intelligent. All animals feel and understand way more than we can even comprehend and give them credit for.
Que experiência única!!!!! Emocionante...
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's heartless to use animals of any kind for research.
I don't see any evidence that they remember her. Maybe they're just being friendly.
I got sorta frightened when they smiled because I believe that’s a sign of fear, and scared animals are terrifying
The older one looked like he was crying 😢 good to see they had a good life in the end 👍💯
❤
Thank you for all you did.
just recently went to the B&I and they still have where they kept him and tons of pictures and newspapers clippings Even meet a old man who used to work there and told us some stories of Ivan, he was very loved by all who worked with him and saw him. My parents told me stories of him as well, like how my dads judo coach would go in and help exercise Ivan, or how he would slam on the glass to scare you when you weren’t looking at him, I even heard a story of him as a baby getting into a birthday cake. The movie should have been about all the people who loved him and all the stories they had with him. Everyone in puyallup/Tacoma was sad that he was sent to a zoo out of state never to see their beloved gorilla again though I guess it was for the best. R.I.P Ivan
One of the best videos on the internet.

I remember seeing him i was about 7 years old
I too saw him occasionally when I was a child& remember when he went to a zoo allot of us were really happy about that. It's also sad that people have empathy for animals living like this but feel nothing for the 2M inmates in the US that live in allot smaller cement cells almost 23hrs a day& allot worse food, health care, and treatment. Nobody but mass murderers should be locked in cages all their life
Gorillas can beat the shit out of almost every living creature. But why should they? Their job is to protect. This kid needs it so he gives it. Gorillas are our early aged protectors.
Deus os abençoe sempre
That was amazing, SO BEAUTIFUL U R A SPECIAL WOMAN
THE WHITE MAN ...CAN NEVER LET ANTHING JUST BE !
This lucky lady is a REAL Disney Princess. I envy her.
So just curious how you claim to know whats in this animals mind, what it remembers, if it was loved or not? I know its a desperate attempt to humanize these wild animals but do we really need to resort to fiction novels and/or your imagination to accomplish this? The truth is this is your opinion, not a fact. The day that these instinct driven animals can grow and cultivate food, develop vaccines and cure diseases, invent amazing technology, explore outer space as us humans can, they are not on the same level. God created the beasts if the earth in service to us, remember that.
It made me cry 😢
What these people do is insanely important. Chimps are the closest thing literally to human biologically you can get.
Bonobos are just as close. Gorillas are the second closest.
